Abstract Submission Process

  1. Sign-up and
    Log in
    Sign- up and log in on this website. If you are already signed-up on this website, you can use your account for your abstract submission.
  2. Submission &
    Confirmation
    After you submit your abstract, a confirmation letter will be sent to the presenting author, and corresponding author via email.
  3. Review &
    Modification
    You can review or modify your submitted abstracts until January 13 (Mon), 2025 by visiting ‘My Page’.
  4. Acceptance
    Notification
    An acceptance notification will be sent to the presenting author and corresponding author via e-mail.

Submission Method Abstracts must be submitted online via the HBP Surgery Week 2025 website only.
Language English
Word Limit Max. 250 words
Author Information

Presenting Author, Corresponding Author, Co-authors

Presenting author refers to the person on the author list who attends the congress and presents the poster or abstract.
Corresponding author takes primary responsibility for communicating about the abstract.

All authors' first and family name(s) must be provided in full.
Degrees or titles such as MD after an author's name must be deleted.
The number of co-authors is limited to 15 authors

Affiliation

Affiliation should be structured as follows: Department, Institution, and Country.

Abstract Format

Abstract Title (Max. 200 characters)

Capitalize every word of your Abstract Title.
Refrain from using standard abbreviations or acronyms in the title.

Structure

The abstract body should be written as an structured abstract.
Stylized form under headings structured in: Background, Methods, Results, Conclusions.

Pictures/Graphs/Tables

No tables, graphs or images are allowed.

Ensure that your abstract is grammatically correct and free of typographical errors.

Presentation Types Authors have the option to indicate their preference on their presentation type among ‘Oral Presentation,’ 'Video Presentation’, ‘Poster Presentation’ or ‘Poster Exhibition’.
The Scientific Committee, however, reserves the right to decide the final type of presentation for all abstracts after review.
Please note that space is very limited for oral presentations.

Withdrawal of Abstracts

  • If the presenting author of an accepted abstract does not register by the pre-registration date, the abstract will be automatically withdrawn from the final program.
  • If you would like to withdraw an abstract, please notify the HBP Surgery Week 2025 Secretariat in writing as soon as possible.
