Grants
The HBP Surgery Week 2027 Organizing Committee will offer grants to presenting authors coming from overseas and domestically. Grants will be given to presenters whose abstracts have been submitted with registration payment made in full.
IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL GRANT APPLICANTS
Due to changes in South Korean tax regulations effective in 2026, international travel grant recipients must submit a Certificate of Residence and an Application for Non-Taxation·Exemption to receive the travel grant without tax withholding.
If the required documents are not submitted by the designated deadline, 22% tax will be withheld from the travel grant.
Documents for Selected Recipients
- Certificate of Residence
- Copy of Passport (Identification page)
- Application for Non-Taxation·Exemption
- Round-trip E-Ticket (Confirmed flight itinerary)
⚠️ Further instructions will be sent individually to awardees in mid-February.

* The results of the travel grant selection were officially announced via email in mid-February.

Presenting authors of ACCEPTED Abstracts (Acceptance Notification: February 3(Wed), by e-mail)

Presenting authors who have completed the abstract submission on the website and applied. (Deadline for application submission: January 8 (Fri), 2027)

Presenting authors must participate in the congress IN-PERSON with registration payment made in full. (Deadline for presenter registration: February 19(Fri))

For any duplicate presentations, we will only pay one time in accordance with our policy.

If you have already been invited as a speaker/session chair, grants won't be paid.

If you reside in Korea, the same rules apply as for Korean participants. Please read the Domestic rules.

The travel grant will ONLY be given to the presenter specified on the abstract and can only be paid ON-SITE. (No remittance)

Candidates have to submit a valid form of ID, such as a passport or driver license and airplane ticket receipts.
